Privacy
The website can be visited, revisited and used to reach booksellers without creating an account. The chapter wheel is the only part of the site that remembers an individual browser.
The chapter wheel
When you turn the wheel, the browser receives a random identifier. It lets the site remember which chapters that browser has already received and whether its two turns have been used. The identifier does not contain your name or email address. The corresponding record is retained for no more than 90 days. Returning to read the site or to follow a purchase link is never restricted by the wheel.
Short-lived, pseudonymous technical records may also be used to prevent unusually rapid or automated requests from disrupting the wheel. They are not used to decide what you may read or buy.
Publication notice
If you voluntarily leave an email address, it will be used only to send the requested notice about publication. It will not be sold, shared for advertising or added to a general newsletter.
